Animatronic Gyroid

As someone who loves Animal Crossing, I was captivated by the gyroids in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Their dynamic movements and expanded color palette inspired me to try to create one of my own.

I completed this project in November 2024. I designed the CAD in OnShape and 3D printed it on my Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro in PLA.

The internals of the gyroid include room for the Polulu Maestro to control it, as well as three servos and wire routing. I programmed the dance using Visual Show Automation.
